Taking my lane.

Bicycling is a metaphor for living.  Twice this weekend when I was out riding in traffic I kept thinking, "Take the lane."  I have to remind myself not to smoosh myself between a parked car on the right and moving traffic on my left.  I have to remind myself to ride the correct way and TAKE THE LANE.

Hm... I wonder what it means then that I had more fun on the CaBi bikes yesterday when Christopher and I were riding around together???  Maybe I'll ask my analyst his opinion about that today...

I made the above image on the Lite Brite this weekend as the picture for my new business card.

Take your lane . . . and signal your intentions! Good advice for biking, and, I submit, for life too. Signaling on the bicycle may benefit both motorist and bicyclist most when exaggerated. Off the bicycle, maybe not always??

Great. I love this picture. I think it's going to make great cards. I'd like a picture of the words lanes open.

Good and healing thoughts to you.
